Notes:

Rich and complex, with a nose of graphite, black fruit, licorice and truffle. Black cherries, crème de cassis, mocha and smoke form the palate, whilst moderately high tannins contribute towards a firm structure.

Château Certan de May, which adjoins Petrus, is one of the highest vineyards in Pomerol. Its vines, with an average age of 45 years, are planted in sandy gravel top soils, underpinned by a hard pan clay subsoil.
