Another indigenous red grape variety, this is primarily grown in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. Always blended with Corvina (a parent variety) along with Corvinone and Molinara, Rondinella has rather neutral flavors without high sugar levels, but they are favoured by growers due to its high yield and resistance to grape disease. As with Corvinone, they dry out well to produce Valpolicella wines such as the Valpolicella Superior and the Amarone.
