This native variety is primarily grown in the Verona area of Veneto. It is the finest of the three varieties (the others being Rondinella, Corvinone and Molinara) used to make Bardolino, Valpolicella and Amarone.

Most wines made from the Corvina grape have light to medium body, high acidity, medium tannin and flavours of red cherries.
